Meet the Artisan

I simply love working with leather. Since my teenage years and where possible, anything I would use to carry something in, enclose in a case, or wear on me, have always been leather. I love how they add a touch of professionalism and character. A leather bag to me goes far beyond its durability - it is a silent partner who shares memories. A quality leather wallet or a journal will always be a conversation piece. A leather watch strap gives that subtle touch of elegance that people will remember you for. A good leather jacket, well, they are always head turners aren't they? 

My greatest fan is my son, Kristyen. Taking my work online is driven by his constant encouragement to share my creativity with all of you. The ChapterOne Leather studio was launched because of him. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing person as my son. He looks up to me and my back is against the wall.

I am greatful for my parents for keeping the flames of creativity always alive within me. Their support to my creative work as a young boy and even now, whatever the craft may be, have instilled in me a flare to focus on giving the world solutions rather than lament on limitations. I am who I am because of them.

I am a strong believer that 'service excellence' is a culture that we must embrace in both fronts, personal and professional. I worked in the aviation industry for almost 13 years where I learned firsthand the value of providing others a memorable service experience. Service excellence to me is to serve others, serve well and serve with passion. I apply this philosophy to my day to day work. You can be rest assured that every ChapterOne Leather product you own comes with my heart and soul put into its creation.  

By profession, I am a Performance and Learning Strategist engaged in the profession since 2003. My passion is to help people learn and grow. In doing so, design thinking has always been the foundation of my practice. 

I am also an adventurer in the fantasy realms of Dungeons and Dragons. Where is that dragon at? Who needs saving? What is my quest?

That is me in a nutshell.
